Project Description:

Deschutes River Ranch – Bend, Oregon

This 450 acre historic, working cattle ranch has 30 home sites ranging from one acre to 20 acres. At the heart of the development will be the ranching and equine operations. Home sites look down upon the grazing areas and equine center along the Deschutes River. Riding trails run through the ranch property, along the river, and connect to surrounding public lands for riding.

Master planning of this residential community in central Oregon includes an extensive equestrian community design. The equine facility consists of a 150′ x 300′ outdoor arena with pens for holding cattle during events; a covered 125′ x 250′ arena that includes viewing areas and a clubroom; and equestrian barn designs that will be constructed in 10 stall modules around a round pen and common area. The facilities also include storage for hay and bedding; farm equipment; recreational vehicles; and trailers. There will potentially be 40-60 horses at the facility and there will be resident caretakers and trainers. It is anticipated that the equestrian center will also be used for clinics and occasional horse shows.
